Jincang brand story

品牌故事

It all began
in Hangzhou.

Born in Hangzhou, raised among silk weavers, and trained at one of China's foremost textile institutes. The founder poured a fashion designer's eye and a product maker's discipline into one single thing —

No oversized pieces. No cluttered symbols. Only the most beautiful motifs, crafted small and exquisite for everyday life.

So that someone who doesn't read a word of Chinese, and has never set foot in China, can still carry a piece of high-end, made-to-order Hangzhou heritage into their daily life — as a gift.

SONG BROCADES & Motifs

Each motif carries a wish — woven in silk, worn close, and passed on.

Song brocade fabric motifs

The Fabric 宋锦

A brocade born in Suzhou and Hangzhou, celebrated for its low-saturation color and fine geometric weave. Once reserved for the imperial court, now cut into pieces small enough to carry.

Phoenix bird motif

Bird & Phoenix 祥鸟

The phoenix and auspicious birds symbolize grace, renewal and good fortune — a quiet blessing for the one who wears it.

Peony flower motif

Peony & Blossom 牡丹

The peony is the flower of prosperity and honor. Its layered petals, woven in silk, speak of abundance and beauty.

织造之道

The Craft

From raw silk to finished piece, every step is done by hand.

Step 01

Reel & Dye

Mulberry silk is reeled by hand and dyed with natural mineral pigments for that muted, imperial tone.

Step 02

Weave

A single weaver guides the loom, threading up to 72 silk strands to form one intricate motif.

Step 03

Cut & Mount

Each motif is cut by eye and set into gold alloy or walnut — no two pieces share the same corner.

Step 04

Finish

Hand-tied tassels, polished rims, and a final inspection before it earns the Jincang seal.
